The 2016 Inc. 5,000 is here, and it’s no surprise that 417-land businesses appeared on the list. A total of 11 Springfield companies earned spots on the 35th annual list, which ranks the fastest-growing companies in America.

Those companies are:
Missouri Sun Solar, ranked 156
GigSalad, ranked 690
Paragon Architecture, ranked 1611
Russell Cellular, ranked 2287
Little Sunshine’s Playhouse, ranked 2347
Group Benefit Services, ranked 2393
The Great Game of Business, ranked 2724
Classy Llama, ranked 2863
The Payroll Company, ranked 3680
JMARK Business Solutions, ranked 4078
Everything Kitchens, ranked 4498

Missouri tied with Indiana as the 24th fastest-growing state with 72 companies on the list. With a three-year growth of 2,327 percent, Missouri Sun Solar was the second highest-ranking company in the state behind Worth Clark Realty in the St. Louis metropolitan area. The solar power installation company also ranked ninth within the nationwide energy sector, which was the fastest-growing industry on the list.

“More and more people are realizing the benefits of converting to clean, renewable energy, and our customers have seen a collective energy savings of $80 [million] to $100 million,” Missouri Sun Solar CEO Caleb Arthur said in a press release. The company employs 130 people across the state and garnered $9.8 million in revenue in 2015.

GigSalad was the only other 417-land company to rank in the top 10 statewide. Additionally three businesses—Russell Cellular, Group Benefit Services and JMARK Business Solutions—are five-time Inc. 5,000 honorees.
