When you walk into the new Maxon Fine Jewelry on Battlefield Road, your eyes grow wide at the sight of sparkling engagement rings, bracelets, vintage jewelry, Rolex watches (Maxon is the only Rolex retailer in Springfield) and more.

Owners Rick and Jane McElvaine opened the new and improved Maxon Fine Jewelry, formerly known as Maxon's Diamond Merchants, on January 9, 2018 after spending more than 25 years in the Brentwood Center.

“We’ve always wanted our own building,” Jane says. “And we’re excited about the visibility and accessibility of this location, which is an important part of business.”

Due to the exquisite nature of the fine jewelry, security measures have been taken up a notch. For example, you go through two doors to get inside the store. You walk in the main door in the entryway, and then you get buzzed in through the second door.

“Compared to the old store, the technology, showcases and decor are all different,” Rick says. “The new showcases all feature lighting on the inside, and the decor of the store has a more modern day look to it. When you walk in our store, it’ll have the same class as a major market  like in New York City.”

The McElvaines are currently looking for a tenant to rent the additional 1,500 square feet of space the new building offers.

There is a grand opening on February 8 from 5 p.m. – 8 p.m. to celebrate this new location. Check out the website and Facebook page for any updates.
