Substitute Staffing Switcheroo

Paula Adams has worn many hats in her 22 years at Penmac Staffing, but it was one of her latest accomplishments as the company’s president that stole the local media spotlight this June. Under the leadership of Adams, Penmac’s Education Staffing division secured a contract to provide substitutes for Springfield Public Schools. This contract greatly expanded Penmac’s footprint; when the business officially took it over on August 1, Penmac already had begun recruiting hundreds of substitutes in preparation for the upcoming school year. “I am so proud of our Education Staffing team and leadership and look forward to its continued growth,” Adams says. It’s no surprise that she’s quick to pass the credit, as the University of Missouri–Columbia alum often has the well-being of others in mind. “Employment plays such a vital role in both personal and professional lives,” she says. “We take pride in getting to know each employee and business we work with.”
