1. The team started remodeling the former restaurant building in January 2025, with the desire to create a sleek modern look for the future headquarters of Arlo Bank. This seating area near the coffee bar creates a warm environment in the center of the space.

2. Because the space is so open, lockers are provided as a place for employees to store their belongings during the workday. Nearby casual seating is another space for guests and employees to gather.

3. The floating teller pods, vaulted ceilings and large chandeliers provide an inviting space as customers interact with the banking team. “We wanted this space to feel open and welcoming,” says Jessie Tindall, director of client services. “The windows and openness were important to us, and we wanted everyone to feel accessible.”

4. The sand table creates office zen and a unique way to welcome clients to the space. “We put customers’ names in here when they come to visit,” says Maddie Walker, chief operations officer. “They think it’s so cool.”

5. “The location is amazing, and we knew the building would be a challenge,” says Tindall. Starting with the strong foundation of a 100-year-old institution (Systematic Savings Bank), the team couldn’t resist the opportunity to work together to build something new.

6. In a nod to the building’s former life as a Mexican restaurant, the bathroom signage has been saved to display in a nook in the large meeting room.

7. A self-serve custom coffee bar and drink station features seasonal coffee offerings and is popular with guests and employees alike.

8. When coming up with a new name, President Mark Bybee wanted it to be short, sweet and unique. “Arlo is a word that means fortified hill,” he says. “It’s just something different, and no other banks have used it before.”

9. “When customers come in, we want them to be acknowledged, feel special, feel like it’s a different experience when they walk in the door,” says Tindall. The welcome area will be staffed 100% of the time and has a remote to open doors automatically for guests. “We were very intentional about this space. A lot of thought went into just this space right here, because this is the first impression.”
