Amanda and Rob Bell were on a journey to grow their family. Eventually, they were faced with the option of trying in vitro fertilization. But IVF was more than an extensive process – it was an expensive process, she says.

“When we found out the cost of it, we knew that we needed financial help,” said Bell. “When we first came to Volt and came to Kerri, we explained everything that we were wanting to do, adding a family member to our life. She understood, we gave her updates, and we brought her an ultrasound photo when we found out we were having twins.”

Bell has been a member at Volt Credit Union for six years. But the practice of investing in long-lasting relationships, combined with innovative financial solutions, is how Volt has been revolutionizing banking for years. That’s why building life-long relationships with members is business as usual, says Kerri Southard, director of retail services.

“I think you find your purpose at work when you realize life isn’t about things, it’s about serving others,” said Southard. “Being able to serve with intention and love, I think when you realize that, you’re blessed in so many other ways.”

Rachel Snider has been a member of Volt for 22 years. Over the decades, the credit union has provided financial solutions that met the changing needs of her family. From a car loan for a teenage daughter to refinancing the family farm, Volt has supported their goals and kept them on track financially.

“Through Volt, we have been able to accomplish things that we weren’t able to do at other banks,” said Snider. “Here, we’ve been able to become friends with Ms. Teri, over the years.”

Teri Bee, director of lending at Volt Credit Union, is proud to offer lending options that support flexibility and financial success for members like Rachel.

“Being able to help Rachel save money, when we consolidated their home equity and mortgage, when we were able to help Rachel build her office to give her peace of mind when working from home, it makes me feel good knowing that I’m helping somebody else,” said Bee.

Seated next to her now 5-year-old daughter, Alyvia, Amanda smiles when she talks about Volt, its focus on relationships and how a Home Equity Line of Credit (HELOC) made her family possible.

“It wasn’t for Volt and Kerri, we wouldn’t have our kids,” said Amanda. “It’s a blessing.”
