In the Springfield area premiere of the Tony Award–winning play The Elephant Man, a lonely man suffers from facial deformity that leaves him no option for work other than to join a traveling sideshow as a freak attraction. Even after a doctor rescues him, he is unable to find comfort in his condition and never escapes the bondage of social injustice. Three additional shows are scheduled for August.
