About This Event
Join us for a scenic, 27-mile ride through some of the most pristine rolling hills and canopy-lined roads ( Gravel and paved farm roads) that the Springfield area has to offer. Sweeping views of the Ozarks and long, exhilarating descents await riders as they make their way to the Shelvin Rock Access point along the James River just outside of Springfield,MO.
Once we've made our way to the end of our journey, we'll be greeted by one of our guides and enjoy lunch and some ICE cold drinks. After lunch our guides will help you get outfitted in your own kayak and we will embark on a fun and easy 3 mile float to the Two Rivers Bike Park. We will stop along the way to enjoy some sun bathing and swimming holes and make sure we have plenty of lazy time on the river.
After a relaxing float, we'll take out at the Two Rivers Bike park enjoy a cold brew near the fire pit and then shuttle guests back to the Hub Bike Lounge.
All guests will provide their own bike, helmet and water bottle. It is recommended that bikes be specific to gravel including wider tires and a more aggressive tread pattern. Some riders choose to ride and enjoy riding a mountain bike on some gravel rides. A hardtail or full suspension mountain bike with a shock lockout would also be suitable.
Guests should bring a swimsuit and water shoes to change into after the riding portion, and a small bag with extra clothes to change into once we get out off the river.
Registration includes expert guides, shuttle driver, mechanical and first aid support, water, snacks, and kayaking equipment.
