This Saturday, a new Flying J Travel Plaza opens to the public on West Chestnut Expressway within close proximity of countless travelers zipping along Interstate 44.

Featuring a dozen fueling stations, nine diesel lanes, amenities and dining options including Wendy’s and Cinnabon, the sprawling facility is anticipated to contribute an estimated $2.9 million annually in state and local tax revenue, while adding 70 jobs to the local economy.

Operated by Pilot Flying J, the travel center is the company’s 23rd location in Missouri. The plaza will be formally introduced to the community at a grand opening celebration on August 29.
